Like others said, psych statistics will focus on statistics relating to the field of psychology. The difficulty of psych stats vs. general stats probably depends on the school/professor/class level. I took a basic stats class (gen. ed. requirement) about 7 years ago, and it was ridiculously easy. But, it was a lower level class.
