Hurricane (pronounced Hur-kin) may have the more affordable hotels but for a more intimate and easier approach to the park I recommend staying in Springdale. You can take the shuttle into the park and wake up every morning to that beautiful view. Report inappropriate content.

There are umpty active threads running there for, say, Utah's "Mighty 5" (Zion, Bryce, etc.), the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Yosemite, etc. as well as some state and tribal parks (e.g. Monument Valley.) At most NPs I advise staying inside the park, if you can get a room in a park lodge.
